Get Inspired, Develop Your Craft, and Create a Short Film to be Proud Of.

Programs run July 6-17 and July 20-31

Join The Cinematheque Education Department for a two-week filmmaking program for aspiring artists aged 14-19.  Presented in partnership with SFU School for the Contemporary Arts, we invite passionate, bold, risk-taking young artists to join this new program.

Filmmakers are encouraged to draw inspiration and ideas from art of all kinds – photography, painting, dance, music – and, with the support of Lab instructors and SFU artists, to push themselves, stretch their minds, and collaborate to realize ideas with a team of peers.  After two weeks of scripting, production, and editing, a moment of inspiration will have become a fully realized short film, which will be presented on the big screen with an audience

All registrations are online, fees are $675.  Partial and full bursaries are available for any family or youth experiencing financial need, provided by the District of North Vancouver and the City of North Vancouver.  Bursary application deadline: May 31st.  Bursaries are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis for eligible youth!
