Volunteer for Queensbury school Fair

Volunteers are needed for the Queensbury School Fair
May 12            10-2:00

Shifts  9:45 - 2

Needed          2 students to run the bouncy castle

                      2 students for the rock climbing wall

                      8 students needed to help with various games.

                      At least 2 talented face painting artists

The Vancouver Aquarium is currently recruiting 24 for our Spring Work Experience Placement. As a work experience student, they will be working within a team of students and staff to create the ultimate visitor experience for all of our visitors this summer. Their days will be filled with fun and varied tasks and they will have the opportunity to engage, amaze and inspire thousands of guests of all ages and from all around the world!

Description of Volunteer Opportunity:






·         Kiosk Attendant
·         Visitor Surveys
·         Crafts
·         Operating touchpools
·         4D assistant
·         Facepainting
·         Information Desk
·         Educational Carts

Skills Preferred:
·         Outgoing, enthusiastic and self-motivated
·         Students currently in Grade 10, 11 or 12.
·         Genuine interest in working with the public
·         Strong communications skills
·         Experience with delivering excellent customer service
·         Second language an asset

Please Note: This is not an animal handling position.  Students will have limited contact with marine animals.
