Intended to provide valuable real-world experience in the field of science education, the Barbara Brink Internship is awarded to high school seniors interested in the sciences, who demonstrate academic excellence and leadership abilities.
o    work in a paid position, alongside Science World’s dynamic and professional staff
o    have the opportunity to execute one of several projects identified by the Selection Committee or propose a project of your own creation for consideration
o    upon successful completion of the project, receive a $2,200 scholarship award toward post-secondary studies

EASTVIEW SCHOOL SPORTS DAY is looking for 24 volunteers  to help set up equipment, take responsibility to run an event and  put equipment away.   AND to participate in the high school vs grade 7 tug-o-war.      MAY 20       9-12:00

Learn First Aid this Spring!
Canadian Red Cross First Aid Courses

Emergency Child Care First Aid & CPR/AED is a one-day course for parents and caregivers of children covering skills needed to recognize, prevent and respond to airway, breathing and circulation emergencies. The course covers first aid for respiratory and cardiac arrest, sudden medical emergencies, childhood illnesses, head and spine injuries, wound care and poisons.Courses: Saturday, April 16; Saturday, May 14; & Saturday, June 11, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm @ St. Stephen’s United Church, 7025 Granville Street & 54th Avenue in Vancouver. Red Cross goes on the road!  Can’t come to us?  Let us come to you! If you have 10 or more people who want to learn either Emergency Child Care or Emergency First Aid, we'll teach the course at your facility. And if you have 15 or more youth who want to become a Babysitter, we'll teach the Babysitting course on-site.
