AGAT Laboratories - Work Experience Opportunity

 AGAT Laboratories is a highly specialized Canadian-based company that provides laboratory services worldwide.  AGAT is the most geographical and technically diversified laboratory in Canada.  It specializes in environmental chemistry, agricultural analysis, food testing, ultra-trace and toxicology, geology and petrology, mining geochemistry and lubricants testing services.
 
ASSISTANT LABORATORY TECHNICIAN
(1 POSITION)

Application Deadline:   February 28th 2014

 
Job Description:  This role will provide you an introduction into the world of environmental chemistry.  You will receive environmental samples, soil, water and air samples, assist in registering these samples into the laboratory and preparing them for analysis.  In this role you will gain insight into a variety of analytical chemistry techniques that are used in production labs to test for metals, organics and a variety of other chemical constituents found commonly in our environment.

 

Qualifications:  Grade 11 Chemistry
Work Hours:     Monday-Friday 8am – 5pm,  Saturday 8am to 5pm
Commitment:   During the week of Spring break from March 12-16

Tech-Easy (Volunteer / Work Experience Opportunity)


Tech-Easy are in need of youth volunteers from North Vancouver!

 

Duties: Help seniors by teaching them how to use computer technologies (laptops, iPad, cell phones, and etc.)    

Prior to volunteering, Tech-Easy will let volunteers know which type of lessons they will be leading and how they should proceed.
