The City Park Stewards meet on fourth Saturday of every month in a different City of North Vancouver Park. Sign up for shift below and check back here for details about which parks we'll be working in and where to meet.
City Park Stewards volunteers can take pride in helping to protect and restore nature in the city. Volunteers create connections with their community and gain skills and knowledge.

What you bring: You want to get your hands dirty, and do physical work in small groups. You’re willing to work in some inclement weather. No experience necessary. Everyone is welcome.

What we'll bring: We will provide all the tools and equipment required - plus we'll bring some light snacks and refreshments.

Commitment: This is a drop-in opportunity, so volunteers may join us for as many or as few shifts as they like throughout the year. Volunteers are encouraged to sign up for shifts, in advance, so that we may reach out beforehand with any important details (what to wear, cancellations, things to bring, etc.)

Good to know: You’ll need to dress for the weather, as we work through light rain. Sturdy shoes (closed toe) please, as well as a water bottle. Activities will vary depending on the week and site needs.

We may reach out to volunteers infrequently with updates about unexpected shift cancellations, reminders to come prepared, etc.

Arrive in style: consider carpooling, taking transit, walking or biking if possible.
If this sounds like you: Click the “Fill in an application” button at the top right corner of the page. Be sure to include as much relevant information as possible, so we may get to know you better and ensure a good fit for roles. Once you’ve completed your profile, return to this page to apply or sign-up for shifts at the bottom of the page.

Already a volunteer? Login to your profile (www.myvolunteerpage.com) and search for this role in the opportunities tab. Click on the role, and apply or sign-up for shifts at the bottom of the page!
