Fundraising Gala needs volunteers

                                                         Gordon Smith Foundation  needs volunteers

The Gordon Smith Foundation is hosting its inaugural fundraising gala on Wednesday, November 21st.  The Gala will begin at 6:30 with a reception in the gallery (Main floor) and move at 7:30 to the 5th floor, "View Centre" for a seated dinner, entertainment and live auction.

The gala organizers will need volunteers during the day to set up 5 foot round tables and chairs for 140 guests.  The tables will need to be "dressed" and the chairs will need to be covered with "satin covers" which tie in the back.  This is an exacting task and also a task that requires some physical strength.  Our florist may also require some assistance arranging centrepieces and other floral.  Finally, the volunteer crew will be asked to count and unpack all the rentals upon arrival to ensure a complete order (glassware, cutlery, dishes, napkins, etc) and move them to "stations" around the 5th floor and within the gallery.

We are looking for 6 volunteers to work for approximately 3 hours starting at 1:00 pm on November 21, 2012.

Please contact Gail Johnson at        gail@smithfoundation.ca by October 15, 2012 if you are able to help out.
