We know youth get it. Just because you’re young, doesn’t mean you can’t be taken seriously. That’s why we’re looking to give students a unique work experience as a Youth Team member. Do you like working on a team? Do you like interacting with people? Do you want to make a difference in your local community? Then we want to hear from you.
Who's eligible?
If you’re a student entering grade 11 or 12 in September 2016, and live in Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, or Greater Victoria, you’re eligible* to apply. Community service and volunteer experience are great assets.How to apply
The link to our application for the 2016/2017 Youth Team is now live. You’ll have from February 18, 2016 at 4:00pm until 4:00pm on March 31, 2016 to apply. In addition to answering a few questions on the application, you’ll also need to include:- A cover letter
- Resume
- 2 written references, this could be from a teacher, career counselor, or current employer
- A copy of your most recent report card or transcript
What does the Youth Team do?
The position starts July 1, 2016 and ends July 1, 2017. As a paid member of our Youth Team, you’ll work as a Community Ambassador and as a Member Service Representative helping our members in one of our branches, where you will process daily transactions and handle inquiries. Your hours will be part-time during the school year and full-time in the summer for one full year.- represent Coast Capital Savings at community events
- complete 25 volunteer hours focusing on a “for youth, by youth, approach to teaching financial literacy; and
- take part in a team-building camp
