Paid Summer Job - Lonsdale Creek Daycare Assistant

 Are you interested in the field of Early Childhood Education?  Do you have a passion for working with children? 
 

 Job Description: 

• assist with supervision of children during free play, rest time, one-to-one learning activities
• art/special activities set up
• snack and lunch time routines
• cleaning and general maintenance of play equipment
• assist with field trips
• assist with regular supervisors as needed

 Requirements:

• must be 15 years or older
• must currently be enrolled in school full time and plan to return to school full time in Sept
• must be available 5 days/week in July & August, 8 weeks total
• Wage $10.75/hr plus 4% vacation pay

Science Alive - Volunteers and Jobs at SFU

                                    

Science Alive is a non-profit science education program based out of Simon Fraser University's Burnaby campus.   The goal of this program is to expose youth to the exciting worlds of SCIENCE, ENGINEERING and TECHNOLOGY and to inspire them to want to learn more

July 2 - August 23, 2015

VOLUNTEER

• commitment of at least two full weeks with our summer camps (Mon to Fri 8:30am to -3:30pm) plus 2 days of training. 
• will involve assisting instructors int he running of camp, leading games and general supervision of campers
• voluntters will gain valuable experience working with kids and in science labs, and be exposed to the university environment in fun and dynamic atmosphere.
• must currently be in/completing grades 9-12
• must undergo group interview befoer being selected

HIGH SCHOOL INSTRUCTOR

• this is a PAID position and requires a full time commitment of 2 months (from end June until August 23)
• will gain experience of working in an amazing team to develop and implement hands on science activities and experience teaching science to children
• must be in/completing grades 11-12
• must undergo a successful group and personal interview before being selected
