 Interested in a career in emergency services such as police, fire,paramedics, search & rescue etc? Join the RCMP Beginner Emergency Sevices Team and gain insight into the work of first responders in our community.       See Ms Giraud NOW for an application. Deadline is May 31 for Sept 2011 registration and only 24 students can participate.    Asaf and Charanjit are in this years program. They can tell you all about it.

The Psychology of Animal Training
Ever wonder about the science behind how animals are trained?  How about how humans work with animals, like sea lions, raptors and dogs?  The Vancouver Aquarium invites you to dive into the inner workings of animal psychology and training.
Join us at this free event to learn what it takes to train animals and how you, too, can begin an exciting career in animal training!  This event is part of the Province of British Columbia’s Year of Science, and takes place on Wednesday, May 4th at 6 p.m.
Guest speakers include Nathan Harben (Senior Marine Mammal Trainer, Vancouver Aquarium), Gary Worley (Master Falconer, Radical Raptors), and Mary Chaloner-Blair (Owner and Head Trainer, A Capable Dog).  The evening will be moderated by Dr. Martin Haulena (Veterinarian, Vancouver Aquarium) and will include a live demonstration!
