YOUTH Advisory Committee

ROLE SUMMARY:

Lions Gate Hospital Foundation is seeking 10-15 outgoing North Shore residents between the ages of 16-22 to represent the Foundation. A commitment of a minimum of 1 year to a maximum of 3 years is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Identify opportunities to involve North Shore youth with the Foundation

·         Promote the Foundation’s vision within the North Shore community, serve as an ambassador

·         Develop fundraising ideas for current initiatives/campaigns

·         Recommend appropriate communications vehicles to target the North Shore, particularly within schools

·         Assist with special events where appropriate

Requirements:

·         Must be between the ages of 16 and 22 for the period of September 2013 through June 2014

·         Attendance at five meetings throughout the year to be held at 4pm on the following dates for 2013/2014:

• Wednesday, October 23, 2013
• Wednesday, December 18, 2013
• Wednesday, February 12, 2014
• Wednesday, April 2, 2014
• Wednesday, May 28, 2014

·         Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

·         Ability to work well with others in a collaborative environment

·         Demonstrated leadership qualities

·         Ability to exercise initiative, prioritize, and work to deadlines
