Duties include: Greeting customers; Handling a switchboard; Filing; Processing and balancing customer payments.

Hours required: Saturday from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm; Occasional Statutory Holidays and evening shift relief.

Lynn Valley Care Centre - Volunteer

Lynn Valley Care Centre (intermediate and extended level of care Residents) have wonderful opportunities to offer students (16 years old and up), especially in the following areas:
  • Visiting and interacting with our Residents    
  • Giving wheelchair assistance to our Residents
  • Giving assistance at mealtimes
  • Tea & Coffee Service 
  • Doing “Security” – greeting Visitors, giving directions, keeping records, etc.
The Volunteer experience helps to develop responsibility, maturity, and a deeper understanding of some of the challenges faced by the elderly.  It is also a great way to acquire “Volunteer Hours” which are needed by many students for graduation.

The TAG Team is Science World's Teen Advisory Group. The team organizes SWEET (Science World Extravagant Evening for Teens) events at TELUS World of Science specifically for youth guests. SWEET events take place every other month.
