Pioneer Mentor - an experienced industry pro.
The SIGGRAPH annual conference is the world's largest conference in computer graphics and interactive techniques, now in its 41st year. The Pioneers Mentoring Program was established in 2003, and aims to attract students aged 16+ who may not otherwise consider a career in technology.
Students are given a free, full-access pass to the entire week of SIGGRAPH 2014 (a value of nearly $1000), and are connected with a mentor who will work with them before, during and after the conference.
Expectations for Selected Students:
- you need to have at least a C GPA
- attend a full sampling of SIGGRAPH events.
- use your mentor to learn more about the conference and the history and direction of computer graphics.
- write a one to two page summary of your experience and how it's impacted you. You'll send your summary to your mentor.
An application must be requested by June 13, and the application deadline is July 1. Kathleen Milnes at kmilnes@otis.edu (she will email you the application form)
