Here are some options for work experience if you are thinking of MEDICINE as a career choice.
If you're 16-19 yrs old you can volunteer in a Seniors Centre with Vancouver Coastal Health or at the Lynn Valley Care Center.
You CANNOT volunteer in a hospital until you're 19 yrs old.
Sunny Hill Hospital will take volunteers but you must be 16 and be willing to commit a minimum of 2 hours per week for 1 year. http://www.bcchildrens.ca/Volunteers/ApplytoVolunteer.htm
Other options might be to do a work experience at a Vet Clinic, a pharmacy or Canadian Blood Services.
